Yin Yoga
Continuing Education

For Yoga and Movement Teachers

Welcome to our immersive 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training, where we delve deep into the intricate workings of the human body through an exploration of anatomy. From establishing a foundational understanding to progressing into Functional Anatomy, this course is designed to empower you.

Embracing the essence of Yin yoga, we prioritize the way it feels over its external appearance. We refer to it as a ‘feeling practice’ because sensation and awareness take precedence.

Throughout this journey, you’ll unravel the uniqueness of each individual’s body, recognizing that tailored adjustments are pivotal in discovering their perfect pose. Our approach draws from the acclaimed Paul Grilley method, a system that dissects yoga poses into segments and muscles, enabling you to adapt poses for yourself and your students across various yoga styles and movement practices.

Bernie Clark’s words echo our philosophy: “We don’t use the body to get into the pose, we use the pose to get into the body.” This underlines our emphasis on understanding the body’s intricate web—fascia. Exploring this sensory giant, which envelops and permeates muscles, bones, and tissues, you’ll discover its impact not just externally but profoundly within.

Beyond the physical postures, we’ll introduce you to the profound realm of Chinese Medicine Philosophy and its meridian system. Understanding the interconnection of meridians with emotions and organs, you’ll gain insights into balancing emotions and thoughts by targeting these energetic pathways.

Our training blends scientific knowledge with spiritual exploration. We believe that these facets complement each other, guiding both you and your future students on an inward journey toward self-discovery and equilibrium.

Join us to explore the science, spirituality, and artistry of Yin yoga—the perfect blend for a holistic teaching experience.

Teaching faculty

This Teacher Training is led by Jonas Nathan. He is honored and excited to guide you through this process of transformation and learning.

Jonas Nathan

Jonas started practicing yoga in the middle of his transformation. He came from a totally different life where he was struggling with himself. He was aware that he was suffering and one day he was ready to change. It was time to deal with himself and yoga was a perfect fit.

In the beginning, it was more active yoga, but when yin yoga crossed his path he fell in love. Jonas found a way to go inwards and to deal with whatever was there. It’s a path he chose to heal himself and at the same time to feel good in his body and mind.

He has worked with many teachers, on and off the mat. The core yin philosophy is the Paul Grilley method. Next to that, he studied (and practiced) many hours of Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Meditation, Fascia release, Yoga philosophy, Qigong, and Martial Arts. He uses these experiences and knowledge in his classes to give what he once so gratefully received. His study on yoga, spirituality, and anatomy is an ongoing process.

He believes that everything is already inside of you. That everything we learn is to remind us who we truly are. We are all teachers in one way or another.
